Welcome, foolish mortals, to a tale of yuletide spirits and spectral delights. We are you hosts, your ghost hosts. Today we are on a mission to stretch the Halloween vibes well into the holiday season. Picture, if you will, a Christmas inspired by the enigmatic allure of Disney's The Haunted Mansion — where the echoes of 'ho-ho-ho' blend with the whispers of ghosts. Because who says the hauntings have to end when the jack-o'-lanterns have rotted away?

Cast your mind back to a memory etched in time — Hiwalei's first encounter with the Mansion at the tender age of six. This memory still sends shivers down our spines. During that fateful trip, her parents briefly lost sight of her, and what did she do? She seized the opportunity to embark on a solo adventure through The Haunted Mansion. Little did they know that instead of panic, Hiwalei found enchantment in the ghostly wonders that awaited within. She didn’t even know she was lost until after she came off the ride. Since that eerie escapade, The Haunted Mansion has become her absolute favorite ride whenever we return to the magical realm of Disney. It's a childhood connection to the spooky side of life.

Join us as we transcend the traditional, weaving the spectral elegance of The Haunted Mansion into our Christmas celebration. Embark on this journey with us, where each corner of our home becomes a graceful nod to the mansion's ghostly inhabitants, turning our holiday gathering into an exquisite, hauntingly beautiful affair.

BLACK LIKE MY SOUL

The Christmas tree stands as the undisputed focal point of holiday decor. Adorned with shimmering lights, cherished ornaments, and a sprinkle of festive magic, it transforms the heart of your home into a symbol of joy and tradition. But what if this symbol of merriment whispered a different tale? A story not just of joy, but of elegant mystery — a narrative spun from the darkest of silks. This year, our tree takes an intriguing turn into the realm of the Haunted Mansion, cloaked not in greenery but in the depths of midnight.

So how do we take the physical manifestation of Christmas cheer and make it ominous? A black tree of course! Chaz's childhood memories are filled with the sight of a magnificent black Christmas tree, a cherished tradition in his grandparents' home. It seemed only natural that as newlyweds, we would embrace this elegant legacy, adorning our own home with a beautiful black Christmas tree, continuing a family tradition steeped in both love and style. There are many challenges with a black tree and black ornaments. Luckily we have worked out all the kinks so you don’t have to! Read on to learn from our experience.

One wonderful aspect of ball ornaments is their affordability, allowing you to purchase a multitude without breaking the bank. Consider acquiring various types to expand and enrich your ornament collection.

TIP: Black decor on a black tree will just make a giant black hole in your house. In order to make sure all your worst nightmares come alive you need to have light reflecting all over. To bring your tree to life - or should we say, an afterlife of elegant hauntings - it's crucial to invite light to dance among the boughs. Avoid ornaments with matte finishes and opt for ones with gloss or glitter to ensure your ornaments reflect light.
